Darko Glisic was born on September 23, 1991 in Skopje. He started football training at the age of eight at the football school of FC Vardar in Skopje.

In 2010, at the age of 17, Darko Glisic played only half a season for Vardar’s first team squad. He then signed his first professional contract with Ekia Olimpik Sarajevo from Bosnia and Herzegovina. In 2012 he moved to Dinamo Tbilisi of Georgia, where he played as a regular for two seasons and played more than 50 matches. With Dinamo he also won his first trophies in his career, twice winning the Georgian Championship and the Georgian Cup (in the 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 seasons). Glisic returned to Vardar in the summer of 2014. With Vardar he won the Macedonian championship three times in a row in the period 2014-2017. He usually plays as a left back.
